(Polish below) I bought this book because I needed it for my classes about Strange Narrators in Contemporary Fiction. I did not expect how much I would enjoy this novel. Apart from that, I really like the preface, it was a good introduction before reading. The plot is very gripping and has plot twists, but what is the most intriguing about the book is its narrative(s). Comparing the perspective of Clegg to Miranda’s diary is really fascinating and thrilling - I had goosebumps! I was also surprised by the ending. Fowles builds his characters perfectly and there are many layers to the story - I recommend it to everyone, not just as a crime story, but also as an interesting example of playing with words and style, and the studies of mind processes. (Polish) Kupiłam Kolekcjonera jako lekturę na zajęcia Strange Narrators of Contemporary Fiction i nie spodziewałam się, że tak mi się spodoba. Oprócz tego bardzo polecam wstęp, jest naprawdę dobrym wprowadzeniem przed samą lekturą. Fabuła trzyma w napięciu, jednak to dwa sposoby narracji i dwie perspektywy (porywacza i porwanej) są prawdziwym kąskiem. Fowles naprawdę dobrze buduje napięcie, a jego postacie są bardzo wiarygodne - aż miałam gęsią skórkę czytając! Zakończenie bardzo mnie zaskoczyło, nie brakuje zwrotów akcji. Polecam nie tylko jako kryminał, lecz jako studium procesu myślowego i wspaniałą narrację budowaną w każdym zdaniu, każdym słowie. Wspaniała rozrywka!
