Album nagrany przez grupę Marillion z charyzmatycznym wokalistą Fishem, "Clutching At Straws" z 1987 roku, doczekał się reedycji. W zremasterowanej i wzbogaconej wersji płyta ukazuje się zarówno na kompakcie, jak i na winylu.

Czwarty w dorobku grupy "Clutching At Straws" odniósł duży sukces komercyjny, pokrywając się złotem w Niemczech i na Wyspach. W ojczyźnie zespołu płyta dotarła do drugiego miejsca na liście. Pochodzą z niej klasyki Marillion: "Incommunicado", "Sugar Mice" i "Warm Wet Circles". Dziś album jest już klasykiem neo-prog rocka.

Płyta pojawia się pod tytułem "Clutching At Straws: Deluxe Edition". Dostępne będą wydania 4CD/Blu-ray oraz 5LP. Przygotowano też wydanie w postaci plików cyfrowych. Materiał audio został na nowo zmiksowany, a zajęli się tym Andy Bradfield i Avril Mackintosh. Do zestawów dodano koncert Marillion z grudnia 1987 roku z sali Playhouse w szkockim Edynburgu. Te nagrania zmiksował Michael Hunter. Niektóre z tych nagrań wypłynęły nieco później, w 1988 roku, na płycie live "The Thieving Magpie".

Trzeci dysk z wydania kompaktowego wypełniły dziewięć wersji demo po raz pierwszy wydanych w 1999 roku z czterema nieopublikowanymi wtedy "Hotel Hobbies/Warm Wet Circles", "Just For The Record", "Torch Song" i "Slainte Mhath".

Dysk Blu-ray to oryginalny miks albumu plus kilka innych (48/24 PCM Stereo Remix; 48/24 LPCM Master Audio 5.1 Mix; 48/24 DTS Master Audio 5.1 Mix). Są też ruchome obrazki – 60-minutowy film dokumentalny, na którym zawarto między innymi wywiad Micka Walla z zespołem o "Clutching At Straws", klipy do "Incommunicado", "Sugar Mice" i "Warm Wet Circles".
