Paul Cookson has worked as a poet for over thirty years. He has over sixty titles to his name, has sold over a million books and been included in over 200 anthologies. As well as being the Poet-in-Residence for The National Football Museum and Everton in the Community, he is also a National Reading Hero, Writer-in-Residence for Sing Together and Poet Laureate for Slade. In 2020, he was commissioned to write and perform a poem for the BBC coverage of the Women's FA Cup Final. Paul is also chief lyricist with Don Powell's Occasional Flames, and their 14-track album, Just My Cup of Tea, is now available. Other song writing collaborations have included Miles Hunt, Henry Priestman, Les Glover, Stan Cullimore, Boo Hewerdine, Plumhall, Martin Stephenson, Brooks Williams, Sarah McQuaid, Nigel Stonier, Michael Weston King and others.
