Opis
This collection moves from opening poems about Wales and the possibilities of independence, to an ending of three poems based in Corfu.
In between are many 'Seams of people': a series focusing on residents in a Care Home, as well as characters and scenes in diverse locations such as Belfast and Mumbai.
These seams comprise layers of satire, imagery and narrative, together with closely-observed personal responses to relatives and the natural world.
They can be buried like memories of attending church as a child, or brought to the surface literally, like the grass sculpture of a pit pony. Seams of sound and sensibility, ones which are both singular and common.
